Everyone loves a good fight poster! That hardcore picture of 2 fighters facing off, fists held high, eye-balling on another… you can just feel the tension. Good poster design conveys not only a message, it also conveys the emotions and feelings of the event it promotesÂ
Fight posters are a great example of this just by the nature of their style. The grungy, dirty background textures, the chain link patterns that resemble the octagon cage. The faded colors, the sweat, the blood, etc… all these elements reinforce the gritty nature of the fight itself! (wether it’s Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Wrestling, etc..).
This poster design was created for Hybrid Combat Promotion, a local amateur MMA league in the Ottawa / Gatineau area.
